MEET ARELL DIXON

Owner & Head Coach, Prosper Fitness & Performance

I know what it’s like to feel stuck, burnt out, and overwhelmed by health. I grew up as one of 12 in a food-loving family and turned to food after losing my brother in 2013—eventually reaching 360 pounds.

At the time, I was training for collegiate football, built like a lineman but broken on the inside. When that path ended, I didn’t just want to get smaller—I wanted to get healthy.

From Burnout to Breakthrough

Despite working out 6 days a week for 3 hours a day, I was injured and exhausted. Everything changed when I met Jo, a trainer who helped me cut workouts to 45 minutes and shift my focus from doing more to doing what matters.

In time, I lost 175 pounds, rebuilt 25 pounds of lean muscle, and finally understood what sustainable transformation feels like.

Why I Coach

That experience sparked my mission:
To help busy people fuel better, move pain-free, and build strong, confident bodies—without extremes.

Giving Back

I co-founded The Strong City Initiative, a philanthropy project that uses fitness to support violence prevention, addiction recovery, mental health, and economic empowerment.

We believe movement is medicine—and that your body can be the starting point for real change.

A portion of all proceeds goes to funding this Initiative.
